Welcome to 'TYMFU', the Liverpool Vet School portal for 'things you might find useful'.
This page contains a number of useful sites regularly accessed by students.
A student will typically have 3 main accounts to access these sites: an MWS account, a Database account and a TYMFU account (this site). For further details on these accounts click on the 'User Accounts' tab above.
Please note that first year database and TYMFU accounts will not be active until later on in the semester. First years will receive a notification once these accounts have been activated.

University Student Portal

Use your MWS account to access this.
This site is a one-stop shop for University services (such as Liverpool Life, Computing Services, Library, Timetables, Exam Results etc.).

Canvas

Use your MWS account to access this.
This is the virtual learning environment (VLE) and is a repository for your learning material and course information.

Teams

Use your MWS account to access this.
Most live online sessions will streamed using Teams. Teams links will be posted in the ORBIT timetable.
You can use a web browser to access Teams but you are strongly recommended to download and use the Teams app instead.

Zoom

Use your MWS account to access this.
Some staff will use Zoom to deliver live online teaching. Zoom links will be posted in the ORBIT timetable.
You can use a web browser to access Zoom but your are strongly recommended to download and use the Zoom app instead.

EMS Database

Use your Database account to access this.
This database contains your EMS (extra-mural studies) record, and is where you propose EMS placements.
For security reasons this database is hidden behind a firewall. It can be accessed on-campus, but if off-campus, it must be accessed using a web browser running within AppsAnywhere (further details on AppsAnywhere can be found here).
